Restraint
Have you watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S ? off-course you have :D
Do you love watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Well i do.
Interesting trivia : Do you know who played role of "Ugly Naked Guy".. It was never revealed on screen. it was same as Mr.Treeger.
Well i love watching friends and humor in it.Those were the days when humor included calling someone ugly naked guy. Today you cannot include naming this character in any friendly chat/facebook post/tv serial - it will surely be called as body shaming, people will get offended, you will be receiving social media rants, open letters and lots of trolls. But honestly the humor in that serial was not at all body shaming - at least dint felt like it. People were smart to understand that calling him ugly or a swimsuit model a dreamgirl will not offend him or current set of people you are involved with.
I have too many questions now....
Mutual respect irrespective of age/relationship/friendship level is key to solving this problem i think.
One has to understand that other person dint meant harm or it was not too personal comment. It is just his/her way of analyzing things. Somebody's comment can be recognized as criticism by other.
Everybody has their own biases - stupid comment by a person you like will be overlooked and same comment by other person will be marked as judgemental.
So who wakes up in the morning and says ok lets start criticizing some stuff.
Ans : No one. (the answer i guessed and hoped).
right ? atleast i have never come across someone who said openly that i want to be critic.
Maybe being negative is one of their coping mechanism for not getting disappointed ( THE definition of negativity).

I have too many questions now....
- Am i extending TV fantasy to real life or that should be the norm?
- Is it possible to talk to your partner/friends/parents/siblings about everything under the sun. Or do we have to identify set of rules for each of them. How do you stop on a line separating curiosity---privacy intrusion. Are you on the same page as the other person on definition of that line.
- Are these fair questions or question itself is sign of a problem.

Anyways you need all kinds of people in your life. you need one Energizer , one goofy one, one who is calmer, one who is _critic_ and one who doesn't care :P . I think the roles should keep changing too.. one should not be and cannot be critic all the time, other cannot be positive all the time. In a group setting you need to exchange roles so that everyone makes progress and the setting is fun one. It is applicable everywhere - in a family, in a team, group project, friends groupS.
Hope sanity prevails and fun never leaves the building.
