Life in india
I am in india for vacation. Came after 2 years..
Life in india has changed a lot.
Its been 7 years now since i left india for studies and job..
since then i am visiting india almost every december except last year.
But every time(year) i come here - it feels i am stuck in the old 7 year old (Aug 2007) past .
I still see my cousins as kids - although now they are near their matrimony age. they have grown up..
pune has grown up and grown western.. halloween parties ...miami club ..thoushand oaks seems to be normal conversation and weekly routine ...
dresses / food habits / talks are almost same here and there ...
Also i feel the 7 year old past because - first time i am working from a company here..
i travel daily to IT park Hinjewadi for my company issues.
Its been a struggle to commute daily through traffic and company bus.
Yeah i know how exactly it sounds...an NRI guy cribbing about indian roads/ pollution / traffic blah blah.. I always thought that i wont be the guy who will raise road issues when i reach india..
to write a blog on traffic and roads like everyone else was never on my plate...but yeah i should be honest to myself and others .. i am not happy with this traffic and exhausting commute through IT park congestion. What i find amusing is when i say there is lot of traffic it is being labelled as NRI cribbing..but if same sentence is being repeated by my cousin or uncle here.. it is acknowledged as it is.
every year i get price hike shocks due to inflation and this year too i got same..hence i say that i am stuck in past ...
I am attending lot of weddings and functions - so that is good thing..
more to come .. but heads up..it is cribbing :)
