Too cool for facebook

Last week we were surrounded by many posts on Facebook regarding Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.
This brings to my topic of this post. For any kind of subject i see 99 posts in favor about trending topic and 1 sarcastic post about how he/she is cool not to care about general trends and how that trend is superficial. But the friend posting this coolness doesnt understand that what he/she is posting (cool according to his/her perspective) is also part of a trend which is not liked by some of the next cool set of people.

Let me give you more context or few example i can think of :

1. There are 99  friends having display pic as couple with some or other kind of romantic pose or caption.
    Then there will be 1 post by he or she saying how cool is he/she and separate from other couple by not
    posting mushy mushy couple pics or updates. Lets call this cool guy A. ( yes i am tired of he/she reference so generalizing it to he)

2. The cool guy A will post 100 things about cricket assuming that everybody is ardent lover of cricket and posting or spamming about cricket is not spamming at all. in general everybody loves cricket and ipl for that matter. so yippe post everything about cricket. Here comes cool guy B who will post that how cool is he about not care about cricket and how different is he. he only cares about our next category MUFC (Manchester United Football Club, no offense but not everyone knows what MUFC is).

3. The cool guy B and other 98 post are about football, epl, mufc and alex ferguson , awesome goal by RVP etc and here comes our cool guy C who posts how cool is he to not fall into superficial fan following of football. This guy will post about our new category and beloved category photography.

4. The cool guy C and other 98 post are about new photos from his DSLR - about all things in 1 world. starting with 1 drop on grass to 100 stacked pipes or a old man sitting on bench. this category is hated by many so only 1 sarcastic post about it will be underevaluation, but lets keep our math simple. Our new cool guy D comes and updates a post "you and your DSLR" and also posts a photo about monkey behind a camera, but this guy will make sure that he posts about our new category : Music.

5. Facebook and spotify started listing whatever our friends are listening and somehow i liked that idea, but anyways our friend D and other 98 post are about a new nostalgic song by the great atif aslam and how moist his eyes were. Not to mention a status update of complete lyrics of that song. Yup no need for lyrics.com or posting a link for lyrics... then our friend E is frustrated by all spams of this song and will post something about disabling options of spotify etc and later post a photos of his beautiful spouse and all dates with her (category 1)

I could go on and on about different categories and loop the 100th category to 1st.But i think you must have got summary of what i am trying to explain.
Also if people who fall into above 5 category, please dont get offended, I get it :  there is a need to vent out your emotions about what you like and what you don't & that is exactly my point  - everybody is trying to do the same. Don't think that if you are not part of a specific general opinion/trend then you become too cool or others are faking it.

Be cool, Stay cool and Respect others opinions. \/ Peace \/
