!!! These are random rants about movie experience !!!
After a long long longggg time .. finally i watched more than 1 movie on weekend.
I saw Shutter Island, london dreams, my name is khan !!!.
Shuttler island .. what to say about this movie . it seems like i was watching this movie for 2years .. ( those who saw the movie and were with me know this sentence ).
it will win oscar, citical acclaim , but for me it was one pathetic movie which i wish i had not seen it ..
Anyways after longgg walk from theatre to home , i needed something really refreshing to come out of shuttler island shock treatment . and i switched to hindi movies, atleast i had hope for happy ending. (totally different topic for blog : indian movies and happy ending ), but anyways i wanted to see some positive thingi.
london dreams was OK ! nothing more , but liked the songs, and mnik was good . after irritating initial 30 mins , i liked the movie thereafter.
I think movie experience is influenced by our mood (that time), people around us.
This particulary applies to me and especially related to hindi movies. If you sit with someone who is constantly making fun of irrational things happening on screen , you eventually believed in movie being crap and not making sense. Or if you are sitting with friends and movie is secondary focus, primary focus is to have fun with movie comments and leg pulling .then movie review is extremely different .
( Trust me i will anytime prefer having fun with friends , rather than giving correct movie review ).
Nowadays i am never in mood to watch serious movies , or serious senti ghazals, serious songs. I will rather prefer some light thing. so i was in no mood of watching some serious stuff. it influence my shutter island experience. Previously when i watched reader i loved it. Even though serious i liked that movie.
I knew mnik is little bit serious , but i had to watch it #srkfan.
+ i knew it is srk - kj movie , so no chance of sad ending.
I believe watching same movie twice gives you different experience , different perspective. Because you are a different person that time. this thing applies to other things as well. for eg. rajdeep sardeasi's interview with udhave thackrey. I loved his attack on udhav , after somedays i watched it again and i was thinking of udhav has given answers in correct context or relation. I mean first time i thought rajdeep literally blasted off udhav , but next time i thought udhav gave a fight and his answers were related to questions asked.
Anyways switching back to movies , i love any kind of crap hindi movie. Be it a non-snse comedy of govinda, govinda - sanjay dutt pair or any recent comedy.
Very few people around me like so much crappy hindi movie, but i can watch any hindi movie that too with pleasant experience.
probably blog is incomplete but i would rather end my movies rants here . will again write about this.
Right now its raining outside and its lovely. So amazing it is - sunday afternoon , break from work, nice weather, and YES YES ..eggless brownies. yes my discovery about hersheys eggless brownies. Loved it.
Mood right now : Iktara - goonja sa hai iktara, kya swaad hai jindagi ka .
